Bournemouth Brand Photographer With Birth Your Business
When you work with two people that have so much natural chemistry your job as a brand photographer is made so much easier! Meet Sarah & Lou the fab duo behind Birth Your Business, a brand new biz with new beginnings at its core. I’ve been lucky to have worked with Sarah before as she was one of my very first brand photography clients in Bournemouth.
Now Sarah is a Doula and she also trains other birth workers. This is where Lou comes in, an amazing web designer and Sarah’s niece. Together over a cuppa (or glass of something), they conceived Birth Your Business. Bringing together their expertise and offering birth workers beautiful website templates with tutorials and ongoing co-working and advice sessions to help them as they customise their website to make it truly unique to their business.
Brand Photographer in Bournemouth - The Brief
I was super excited when Sarah came to see about her and Lou’s new business, not just because Sarah is totally lovely, but because she’s also managed to nab an amazing venue for the shoot.
Her friend beautiful and very large house in Canford Cliffs! It genuinely looks like something from the pages of a top magazine, and for a brand photographer in Bournemouth it’s a dream location.

Back to the brief! Sarah and Lou needed a range of images to launch their new business, make the website look amazing ( which it sooo does), and going forward pictures for social media. We never really got to have a group chat, but that was fine because we all put ideas onto our Pinterest board, which is great for gathering up a shot list.
It was to be fun, lots of energy, and really to capture these two’s amazing personalities.
Brand Photographer In Bournemouth - The Shoot
Now being a lone brand photographer in Bournemouth I never have a helper, but not on this shoot! Sarah’s hubby came along and was on hand to move stuff, pour stuff, and do some behind-the-scenes filming. It was great because as usual, my OCD for backgrounds needed lots of things pushing out of shot.
Sarah & Lou were awesome, they were so excited that I think nerves didn’t really have a chance. They’d brought a great selection of props with them too. We had cake for the celebration, confetti, champers (really apple juice), and some blank canvases, which are great for text overlays in Canva. And plenty of wardrobe changes.

We had five different areas in the house to utilise, from slouching on the sofa to working at the dining table and of course cake in the kitchen. All enabling us to get great storytelling images to build their brand personality. And with Lou’s web skills, I knew she would use them to great effect.
Brand Photographer In Bournemouth - The Results
It was a really tiring 3 hours for all of us, but so worth it, everything came together on the day. There are so many images I love from this shoot, funny ones, beautiful portraits, and storytelling ones.
For the edit, I used a bright and light aesthetic, which suited the location and the branding for Sarah & Lou’s business. After editing I sort the images into mini collections for the gallery. This makes finding the perfect shot for a post so much easier, making the gallery a usual resource to dip into quickly.
But the best part for me as a brand photographer in Bournemouth is seeing how my clients use them. And wow, Lou has put them to good use with amazing graphics for their very successful launch.
